IDA (Interactive Degree Audit) is a Web service allowing students to run their own degree audits, project how future courses may apply to their degrees, and locate advising resources. IDA also allows prospective students to estimate how courses from other institutions might apply to UT Austin degrees.
IDA is the interactive degree audit system for students pursuing degrees at UT Austin. Using IDA, you may request and view your degree audit online. IDA provides you with a report of your progress toward completion of the requirements for a specific program.
Building Requirements. Before building a requirement for your degree plan, you will need to determine the appropriate requirement type. IDA currently supports four different requirement types, each with varying sets of metadata and course list flexibility.
The Office of the Registrar provides an introductory course (RG 300) for advisers who want to learn how to use the Interactive Degree Audit System (IDA), and an advanced course (RG 302) for advisers who need to perform certain administrative functions.

How to Run a Degree Audit. To run your degree audit, click here and launch IDA 2.0 (Interactive Degree Audit 2.0) then select “Create Audit” from the left-hand menu. Choose your college, your degree (B.S. Environmental Sciences) and your catalog (usually it has the same year as you started at UT).
