No guarantee that they'll continue to do well. Deep learning for predicting stocks isn’t necessarily a scam. There’s a lot of prop shops/hedge funds that are using ML and making a ton of money. These places have really smart people that get paid insane amounts of money that also sign stringent noncompetes and NDAs.

Very oversimplified: a stock with a PE of 5 in 1980 could be fairly valued while a stock in 2020 with pe of 12 is considered undervalued.
