Try going into the .minecraft\versions and .minecraft\libraries\net\minecraftforge\forge folders and deleting the folders for that version of Forge before re-installing. C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_151\bin\javaw.exe it claims it doesn't exist, I also tried directing it to the java folder but it freaked out. So I copied the folder instead and put it with the other java version in the Minecraft runtime folder.

So I just installed minecraft forge for 1.12.2 yesterday and been trying to work, but each time I try to play it it either stops the launcher from responding or says the game crashed. I have tried deleting and then reinstalling multiple times. I'm on Windows by the way.

Trying to get on a LAN, same version I downloaded both versions at the same time, same version of Minecraft. When I go to join the LAN game, the server side gets a notice that I disconnected, (never that I connected) and client side gets either "Connection Lost" or "Fatally missing registry entries". 0. Simple: Once you have downloaded the Forge .zip for the version that you plan on using, go to the same directory as your "gradlew.bat" file, hold shift-rightclick and open the command prompt. Type: gradlew.bat setupDecompWorkspace eclipse. Or if you're running with Intellij Idea (Which I recommend): gradlew.bat setupDecompWorkspace idea.
So I was trying to make modded server on 1.12.2 using forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2768. (java 8 211) Server itself works, but when i click on forge.jar, "mods" folder simply doesnt appear. Using forge-1.12.2-14.23.0.2491. make that folder arive but i need later forge version to run my mods. Im aware this may be a stupid question however i cant figure ...
