It is the worst and last choice of sites for torrents. I suggest the sidebar Wiki and Tools on r/piracy for a much better selection. Haven't used it i years. 1337x and rarbg are the ones I use. Don't even try it. There is no pirate bay anymore.
the pirate bay used to be great then the owners got jailed and then came the mirror war where tpb mirrors just kept sprouting up. nowadays it is a low quality public tracker where literal infected releases by "verified" users is not all that rare sadly. if you just want a "tpb but not tpb" experience, use 1337x.to
The trick is to not close the tab with the spam/fake bot verification/etc. Then go back to your search results (which should be on its own tab) and Click Again on the torrent you want and it should take you to the torrent's page where you can proceed. This process will reoccur every few clicks. It's annoying but at least it can work.

Not safe anymore. 1337x.to is moderated better, however, use with caution as you are highly likely to run into malware on any public tracker. Unsafe use mega thread for what to use now. I still use it for really old anime and some old games. Yes it is safe if you are careful. You should use an antivirus and it should suffice.

I really feel like half the people have lost that now. Honestly if you want to download from the pirate bay and your main goal is for TV shows and movies, you will be fine in my opinion. Theirs almost no moderation, malware is rampant even with the trusted users. Since when is asking a question considered entitled lol.
pirate bay is dead for years filled with malware. the simple thing to do if you can is search for ihaatsu in file manager and delete it. To be safe then resetting window is preferred if malwarebyte removed everything then no need to worry I guess. Search startup folder, startup menu in task manager and task schedule.
