After I went to the site I launched the compatibility tool to see if I maybe installed the wrong software, but I received a popup saying: "This version of AMD software installed is already a compatible version. Please check if the AMD display driver is working properly." I'm very confused and at a loss for what to do.

Open "Device manager" -> "Display adapters" Find your AMD GPU, double tap it to open properties. Go to "Driver" tab, note your current driver version, in my case it's 30.0.1.14052.9009
The version of AMD software is not compatible with my currently installed graphics driver. I tried to download new Adrenaline software which on the website said it was made for my laptop model (ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14) but that also wasn't supported.
Prior to today I have been able to open up the Radeon software for my GPU drivers, but today when I tried to open it, a pop-up came up that said it wasn't compatible with the currently installed drivers. When I downloaded and used the tool that AMD has on their website for this issue, the tool claims I have the proper version for compatibility.
Used AMD cleanup tool and deleted the entire AMD folder on my PC, then reinstalled drivers. Disabled windows update via group policy and regedit. Then reinstalled drivers. Renamed the catroot2 and software distribution folders to .old files and made update refresh the folders. Tried old drivers from AMD website (used June 21 drivers).
Go to Device Manager. Open Display adapters. Right click AMD Radeon Graphics (I think that’s what it’s called) Select Properties. It might say it’s “disabled”. If yes, enable it. You can do it through the right click menu or I think also in the “Driver” tab. Select “Update Driver” from right click menu or “Driver” tab.
Funny how it is never AMD's fault but rather Microsoft's, Intel's or NVidia's. AMD software development and deployment practices are rather poor. AMD supplied this driver to Microsoft. AMD wants this driver to be installed by default. Intel and Nvidia drivers don't have this problem.
But upon running software compatibility tool, It says that I have the correct version. Note: I've already uninstalled and installed a bunch of times, and even used the DDU software to uninstall the drivers and paused windows update. Windows replaced the driver. Look online in how to stop it. I prefer the Group Policy method.
