For example you could buy it at certain times (usually a month at a time) at Walgreens and even CVS for $1. Wal Mart would sell for $1.57 and Kroger would sell it after Sunday for $1 for people like me who bought it primarily for the coupon inserts. Any discounts available like that in Columbia? Also, what's the deal with high food prices here.
Got the sunday paper on Monday. still had to pay full price. But I never thought to ask for only the coupons at a discount.

I don't know about the Lancaster News, but the Rock Hill Herald seems to have the same coupons as the Charlotte Observer. I'm not sure what a subscription costs though. We just signed up for the Charlotte Observer delivery fo Friday, Saturday, Sunday editions only for $1.88 / week. Not bad considering the Sunday paper is $2.00 by itself.

You can get the Sunday paper at the Dollar Store for $1. They have them on Sunday & will keep them for sale until they're gone. So you can even pick them up on Monday. CVS charges tax on the newspaper so don't go there for it. I'm speaking of the News & Observer btw.
