  6. Need to choose a new brokerage firm: Vanguard vs. Fidelity

    www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=425536

Vanguard has some attractive actively-managed tax-exempt municipal bond funds that I prefer to Fidelity's versions. Vanguard's managed account products are inexpensive, so one's heirs couldn't go too wrong sticking with them and using their managed account products (Vanguard Portfolio Advisory Services). I maintain accounts at both.

  10. Anyone still favor Vanguard? - Bogleheads.org

I started at Vanguard in 2018 because that was what was recommended to me (and later for the commission-free Vanguard ETF trades). Now that I've used more platforms (Fidelity, Schwab, and E*TRADE), I like the Fidelity experience the best, but certainly not enough to go through the hassle of transferring all my accounts there.

  11. Worried about vanguard - Bogleheads.org

Vanguard, including its CS and website, has completely satisfied all of our needs. I don't share your concerns about change in CEO, and the new fee for account transfers will benefit rather than harm Vanguard clients. On money market funds alone, Vanguard collectively saves our family a few thousand dollar per year compared to Fidelity or Schwab.
