It seems like chrome and safari already supported HEVC codec. Any plans to support it in the future? I just so love using MS over chrome nowadays, the application I am building needs HEVC codec, which MS doesn't have.
Nice tutorial, but for God's Sake! who even wants to use this piece of junk bundled with Windows? There are much, MUCH better alternatives which have HEVC codec bundled by default for free, and have many useful options (which this limited shit doesn't have). VLC and MPC-HC are just significantly better than this junk.
Hello fellow edge users, if you would like to watch h265/hevc videos natively in your browser you can use this extension to do so. This works because Edge already supports hevc but doesn't report it. To install it you can just: download the code. unpack it to a folder of your choosing. enable developer mode in edge. click load unpacked extension.
