And a jailbroken device is open to a whole lot more potential malware, outright spyware and malicious code than an Apple default iOS or iPadOS install is.

A jailbreak can't be done by viewing a website, through message, email, app etc. If your device is jailbroken you would have an app called "Cydia". I don't believe there is any jailbreak out for iOS 10.2.1 so jailbreaking is impossible.

Did you recently update your iPhone iOs version? If so, have you made sure there are no updates for your app in the App Store?
