Colt 1913 Model T Ford Truck by Franklin Mint. Ever since I started buying the old Colt black powder series catalogs and then recently acquiring Eric Deaton’s amazing book on Collecting Modern Colt Percussion Revolvers, I have been looking for that Colt Model T. I own 2 real ones and I thought this would be a great collectible to have….
Unfortunately, the serial number of the "photo gun" is unknown and most likely lost to history. Mr. Cochran's research identifies four Colt Single Action Army revolvers, as potentially being the Colt held by Bob Ford in the famous photograph. This revolver s/n 12267 is the number one candidate, along with serial numbers 23960, 50432, and 68800.
In addition, two very nice 4" Colt Commandos with the infamous "USAC-16528" markings. It is not known but many have speculated that this is a US Army Contract number that is associated with the Ford Motor Co. It is said that many of Ford's Colt Commandos and Smith and Wesson Victory models are marked with USAC-16528 on their frames.
Earp also thought that Herbert Hoover would be a good president (oops!). He often visited the sets of John Ford films. He described the O.K. Corral gunfight for Ford, and even drew a diagram of the whole scene for Ford. It's said that Ford referenced the drawing when filming his own Wyatt Earp film, My Darling Clementine, in 1946.

The revolvers, to be made as in days of yore would start at 3K and go up from there. The average Colt LLC employee lives at a much higher standard of living than Colt Pt. F. A. Co. employees did. If fact, so do purchasers. 1500 for a Python is actually a pretty amazing price. The Anaconda the same, except more so.

Hydehunter. 31 posts · Joined 2018. #2 · Oct 29, 2020. I have not done it yet but Accurate Plating will charge you for a bright nickel or hard chrome finish about 700.00 I think about 300.00 for a satin finish but a Colt needs to blind you when it is done. Reply Like.

I don't know, but at some point in time, those valuable business records and surveys may be for sale or given to someone else. They are certainly not going to be discarded. Even Colt sold their firearm record data base.
