  2. How to make pitch and yaw control less twitchy - AVSIM

    www.avsim.com/forums/topic/581210-how-to-make-pitch-and-yaw-control-less-twitchy

Like many others I felt the pitch and yaw control in MSFS is way too twitchy. Here is how I fixed – or at least worked around – it: 1. Always remember to make a backup before you edit any file ;-). 2. The Flight Model is set to "Modern". 3. The Sensitivity in the Controls Settings is set to default 0.

cinabar. In MS 2020 when in exterior view behind the aircraft sitting on the ground. If I push my rudder pedals (Logitech) in all the way the rudder will deflect and then slowly move back to center with the pedal still deflected. When slowly released it will twitch back and forth before returning to center. It does this in both directions.

The Pitts is designed to be aerobatic, but this does not mean it is twitchy; mere twitchiness would be a bad thing in an aeroplane designed to fly the FAI Aresti Catalogue precisely. So what matters for an aeroplane of this type, is very stable flight with the controls at neutral, but the ability to depart quickly from that with control ...

  5. Rudder Pedal Sensitivity - Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)...

If your rudders aren't twitchy on any other platform (XP11, P3D, DCS, etc), then you might just be flying an aircraft that has twitchy flight controls. If you find Robert Young's aircraft twitches, or the A32NX from FBW twitchy, or the DC-6 from PMDG twitchy, then I'd consider taking Al's advice above me.

  6. Fenix A320 Rudder Steering on Takeoffs and Landings

I also find the Fenix very twitchy on the take off roll, especially if there is any kind of crosswind component. I think this is more an MSFS issue although I find the Inibuilds A310 pretty stable. Best thing you can do is start a flight at any airport on the runway and select custom weather with something like a 10-15 knot crosswind and play ...

When I first started flying, I noticed a similar effect, but in my case I blamed it on the planes being a little too twitchy. The Icon in the roll axis and the Stearman in pitch. I could have adjusted the response curves in CH Program Manager, but didn't.Funny thing though. After flying a lot, the planes no longer seemed twitchy.

  8. T.Flight Rudder Pedals for Fenix A320 - AVSIM

Setting a negative sensitivity value means the controls are less sensitive near the neutral position but in consequence even more sensitive the further the rudder deflection goes. That means you will get very twitchy controls when using the necessary rudder deflection in crosswind takeoffs and landings.

  9. A310 rudder sensitivity - Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)...

    www.avsim.com/forums/topic/628210-a310-rudder-sensitivity

In comparison with other addon aircraft, I find the A310 rudder action a bit too sensitive on ground. Trying to keep centreline on take-off or landing is difficult, as the action seems too sensitive and twitchy for precise control. The Fenix and the PMDG, with the same exact default sensitivity settings, are way easier and more precise to ...

  10. What is the difference between Reactivity and Sensitivity?

That means that you won't get to the full control deflection in the sim anymore when you fully deflect your hardware controller, which makes the controls less twitchy. A negative Extremitiy Deadzone makes you reach the full deflection in the sim earlier, when you not yet fully deflected your hardware controller, making it even twitchier.

With that out of the way, I have to say that my biggest area of concern is the crazily sensitive control inputs. I have dulled mine down in the options, and put curves on pretty much everything. But I have a Warthog Hotas, and the stick has a 75mm extension, so should already be less twitchy.
