Pinch kindle where usb plugs in and apply pressure charging light goes on and kindle light charges.If light goes out when you release pressure use a spring powered paper clip to keep pressure applied while charging.Took a lot of fiddling to come up with this method.

4 Answers. Sage, Likely this is just a very dead battery. One of my customers had to let her device charge for ovber 30 hours before it would even turn on. Please give it at least 24 hours on a known good charger to let it bring itself back up to snuff. I hope this helps,
