    My harshest criticism of Politico is that they talk about politics in the narrowest possible sense. There's a lot of vacuous talk on the national scene that you can sort of cut through by looking to history, policy analysis, deconstruction, in depth reporting, geography, demographics or whatever other lens, but Politico doesn't even bother.

    Politico lays out the talking points of the parties, but also tends to examine the true meaning and motive behind them from somewhat of an insider perspective. As others have pointed out, sometimes certain articles are written by political staffers, but I think this is a different bias than if one simply followed pundits like Limbaugh or Maddow.
