I first noticed the problem when i went to login and it wouldn't let me login so i backed up and pressed the "Login with Facebook" link. I've uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled. I can even cut and paste but it won't let me type in the chat boxes or "anywhere". I'm running current Win 11 version.
For future reference of anyone else who came to this with the same issue, it's not Messenger doing it. It's Windows. Go to Settings > Sound > More Sound Settings. Click the "Communications" tab. Set 'When Windows detects communication activity' to 'Do Nothing.'.
