Bio: Dave Gibson graduated from Ohio University in 1973 and became a high school history teacher. For most of his career, he worked as an administrator for SOITA Learning Technologies in Oxford, Ohio. He received a master’s degree from Wright State University in 1981 and was named WSU’s 2004 outstanding alumnus in educational administration.

Over three dozen alumni have earned Ph.D.s in physics based on research at the Edwards Accelerator Laboratory.
Bernard is Professor Emeritus of Geography at Ohio University, where he received the University Professor award twice, in 1983-84 and 1988-89. He also received the College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Outstanding Teaching Award in 1983 and the Jeanette G. Grasselli Brown Faculty Teaching Award in 1991.
The Ohio University Mock Trial Team has selected 30 students to compete during the 2017-18 school year. Tryouts occurred on Sept. 13 and 14 . To prepare, students were required to prepare and deliver a three-minute speech on a pre-selected topic as well as a two-minute extemporaneous speech.
