YIFY Torrents or YTS was a peer-to-peer release group known for distributing large numbers of movies as free downloads through BitTorrent (see copyright infringement). YIFY releases were characterised through their small file size, which attracted many downloaders.
When googling for yts we find, yts.mx or yts.rs among others Q1 - What is the real one, or its none of them? Q2- Is it safe to get magnets from there, when clicking a magnet link, it automatically opens but it doesn’t show the download content. Is it a virus? YTS is the smallest file size which is still acceptable. Also I made it so my mom can add movies to her IMDB watchlist, and radar will auto download them. My mom wants to download tons of terrible hallmark type movies, and she’ll request like 10-20 movies a month. I set all her movies to try and download from YTS first to save space.

Yts.mx is the correct URL. I love how this site has such a large collection of films available (over 35,000) and that there's an API. I managed to download the .torrent files for the best quality version of each film and bulk download them all on my NAS Server. That's over 35,000 movies; mostly 1080p; which occupies roughly 60TB of disc space.
Download the same movie in a Remux and YTS and see if you can tell the difference. The answer will be different for every person depending on how good and how big their TV is, how good their eyes are and how far away they sit. There’s no right or wrong answer here. The bitrate of a YTS 4K release is comparable to a UTR 1080p release despite having 4x the resolution. Bitrate and quality aren't 1:1 but it is a pretty good indicator. My guess would be that, on the same display, YTS4K would be similar but slightly worse quality than UTR 1080p. 2. Share.

After YIFY was down, many copycats appeared, with the current one we know that still stands, YTS. However, they have improved their encoding settings substantially, using higher bitrates in their releases, and are even pushing 5.1 audio in their 1080p along with 4K releases (which I'm not covering in this post due to lack of time and the fact they haven't released too many 4K movies yet).
