I went with Photo Affections because the groupon got universally good reviews. I wasn't sure I liked that they are 1-sided, and I didn't want flimsy photo paper (but didn't want to pay to upgrade). Happy to hear that everyone is happy with the quality of the basic stock! I just ordered over the weekend, so don't expect to get them for a while yet.

The quality is awful. Blurry and out of focus. We've always used Shutterfly. The quality last year was bad, so much worse than years before and I've been using them for 14 years. We have Bartells which is now owned by cvs. I upload photos online, ask to have them printed, and can pick them up within the hour. And I think for 4x6 it's like $0.19 per photo. Super cheap and easy. ETA I was wrong. Bartells is now owned by Rite Aid not CVS. But I think any drugstore you have near by should have a similar service.

I volunteer in my son’s kindergarten class and the teacher is doing these little end of the year photo frames. I volunteered to take the project over and take the kids’ photos on this “insta” wall they have at school and have the photos printed. I went to upload the photos to Walgreens and the smallest photo size they have is 4x6.

Day 1, they found that the entire floor was rotted, so that's added a day and unknown $$ to the project. (I didn't ask since it isn't like I'm going to decide not to do it.)
