Persona non grata is just a Latin phrase, and people do use it to mean "unwelcome person" in a social context. I see nothing "inaccurate" about this. Say rather that the phrase has a special meaning in diplomacy that is not obvious from the direct translation of the Latin. Jeeves 17:50, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
