Bro same, i just installed CheatEngine, 'VPN by RAV' and 'SaferWeb', both by the same company (at least i think they are from the identical uninstall screens), was installed on my pc automatically. When i went to uninstall CheatEngine, it said some files couldn't be removed, and had to be removed MANUALLY. i did a scan on malwarebytes and it ...
I noticed that my PC automatically installed a notorious antivirus today. Its name is RAV endpoint protection. First Action. My first reaction was that my computer was affected by a virus, but nothing found. Sombody has the same issue with CheatEngine, Bitcomet or Nox and so on. My PC did not have these apps. Second Action
I received a notification from a program called RAV and I was surprised because I'm sure I haven't installed such an app and it must have gotten there without my permission. I immediately uninstalled it, but I'm still freaked out because I read on Reddit that it could be a virus pretending to be an anti-virus (which is messed up af)
I managed to uninstall rav almost immediately, or so it seemed, then I wiped every trace of its files (both rav and mcafee web advisor). It still mostly blocked real time protection and other security settings, to the point of scans not working or being automatically denied, the good old "Your IT admin limited access".
Rav Endpoint Protection Hey I'm not sure why, but My Pc randomly got a "anti-virus" called Rav Endpoint Protection, I Remember it appeared after a Device Update. Not sure if its actually from the Update or not, cause I remember not downloading anything suspicious
It's the fact that Reason Safer Web,RAV Endpoint Protection and RAV VPN were installed and running right from the get go. On top of that, it was allowed to install because LDPlayer installs with Admin rights, so anything installed within the installer package automatically was done, bypassing Windows Defender to block it or warn me
hello, i don't use reddit much but I've been meaning to ask this question, so recently out of no where today i got a RANDOM program out of no where called "RAV Antivirus" and i tried removing it from my pc through the programs and features program, and while doing so i removed the file, however it still remains on my pc, i tried cleaning my recycle bin, cleaning my drive, and i have no clue ...
So I tried to uninstall it in controls pannel but it didn't work then I got Revo Uninstaller which I thought it would've worked but no. I still get the Rav Endpoint protection pop ups. I tried Malwarebytes but even that didn't help. And I opened task manager and I see Reasonlabs still running, which is the company behind Rav Endpoint Protection.
RAV Endpoint Protection is an antivirus. Users often say it uses too many system recourses, it's slow, and it has below par Protection levels. So, while it isn't a problem to have it on your laptop, Windows Defender is about the same in better in many aspects, so having it installed isn't necessary
