The paperwork they give you will list the time range you can return without surcharge. The last 3 day car rental I did says 50 hours to 74 hours. So it’s 2 hours grace period for late return and can return as early as 2 hours past 2 days. 5.
Last week, I rented a mini-van from Alamo at an airport through Costco Travel for ~$60 total. I added LDW which was an additional ~$24/day which brought my rental total to about ~$140 after taxes and fees. The fun fact here is that I originally booked a large SUV for ~$250 (rental only) about 2 weeks prior.
I’ve used costco for rental cars quite a few times in the US and Europe. One of the perks; in addition to good prices, is that you get an additional driver for free. It also seems like they are less likely to try to upsell you on cars or insurance when they see a corporate rate like costco. 2.
Since a “ton” is 2,000 pounds, then “renting a ton of cars” is really the same as renting one car. Book it early, but keep checking back to see if rates goes down, then you can rebook. THIS. Question Regarding Costco Travel & Zurich Rental Car Damage Insurance Experiences. Does anyone have experience using the rental car damage insurance from Zurich via Costco Travel? Rental car companies suck - not having the car you reserved, having a huge line, the hard sell on insurance, etc. None of that is Costco's fault. All Costco does is make a reservation in your name, and the rest is handled by the rental company. 3. Award.
So it's actually a travel package deal: https://bit.ly/3vW1AGA If the link doesn't work it's a package deal with both a 3 night hotel stay and rental car for around $500 bucks... basically the second option you mentioned. $500 bucks for the hotel and rental car but I don't want the rental car as I'll just end up leaving it at the hotel for the 3 nights I'm there and I'll only be using it to go ...
Beware, rental car cancelled. I rented a car through Costco and when I got to the rental car counter with my family of 5, I was told my reservation was cancelled. 😡. Hungry kids, flight delayed and this was just the topping on the cake. I called budget and they said the price changed and I could take the car but it would be 3x what I ...
One thing about Costco rentals: the price you see is what you pay. Other rental agencies may not show the exact cost of the extras like state and local fees. Of course at the pick-up desk, they may try to cajole you into upgrading the car size, add on the collision damage waver, etc., but the original car rate will be the same as you booked.
