The 12400f is still one of the most recommended CPUs for value and the 13400 will probably take that place eventually. Today's consoles are 8 core 16 thread CPUs and games are definitely made with that hardware in mind. None of the bottleneck calculators I have seen are even remotely accurate.

Best site to check cpu-gpu bottlenecks & benchmarks. I used to use userbenchmark for he benchmarks, but a lot of people said that it isn't reliable. Learning what a bottleneck is and how it effects you is far more important than any benchmark/calculator would ever be. UBM is perfectly fine if used as a troubleshooting tool or a quick benchmark ...

Bottleneck calculators aren't accurate, the GPU and CPU requirements of games can vary greatly between each game, so in some games you could have a CPU bottleneck while in others you could have a GPU bottleneck. Bottleneck calculators rarely take into account things like the game, resolution, etc. Don't use bottleneck calculators please.

Bottleneck calculators are completely meaningless, and understanding what bottlenecks are and do would show you that. Bottlenecks first and foremost are only an issue if they cause noticeable negative effects, such as stutter, frame drops, or noticeably lower than expected performance. On top of that, every game and program utilizes your ...

I'm sorry but a "bottleneck calculator" like the one in your link is garbage. Components like your CPU, GPU, ram etc should be chosen according to your actual needs. For example: If you want to game at high resolutions (1440p+) that puts an extra emphasis on the GPU. Should you prefer super high fps 1080p game-play that would make the CPU a bit ...

  7. Bottleneck Calculator - PC Builds - is this site accurate?

a 7700k will bottleneck that GPU for sure. I have a 7700 (non K) and it bottlenecks my GTX 1080 on several games. (typically games that want more than 4 cores) With the next gen consoles using 8c/16t cpu's i would look at that as my starting point for a new CPU. Games will likely take more advantage of those cores and threads this gen.

You computer plan looks delightful, bottleneck calculator is a worthless software not even worth a second of your time. As people have said, the GPU should be the bottleneck in a rig of these sorts. When it comes to the processor you don't "need" a 5900x, in most games today it performs almost equal to a 5800x.

Bottleneck calcs are the opposite. user driven data means most machines are older, have clutter (lots of background bullshit adding to the processor load), likely unupdated drivers, and many other variables like thermal paste age. So yes, it is highly inaccurate. But they show where you might get to over time. Reply.

  11. I am in need of a reliable bottleneck calculator.. - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/.../18fc97j/i_am_in_need_of_a_reliable_bottleneck_calculator

All bottleneck calculator websites are garbage and 100% inaccurate, and bottleneck is not a problem for 99% of people, unless you're doing something stupid like pairing an i3 with a 4090. Even then, at 4k in most games it would do pretty well.
