   That day I called the Dell customer service number and payed $49.00 to just talk to this represenitive ( which really didnt even help). He had me do some tests on the computer, nothing worked. He said I needed to reboot the computer with the windows vista cd the computer came with. Of course, I dont have the CD, i looked all over for it.

   After a few days, the sleep function began to go awry. It was erratic in going to sleep and waking up. After making numerous phone calls to Dell customer service and adjustments made with their help, the computer now goes to sleep as per whatever setting I choose but keeps waking up very frequently without any intervention.

   Thank you André, but my bitlocker number was not stored or found in my Microsoft account. DELL wants $$$ in order to provide me with a bitlocker key. Such BS. I don't know why Bitlocker has suddenly appeared on my laptop to begin with, this is not a company laptop. I should have chosen an Apple product and not have to deal with this crap. Thanks.

   There have been issues in the past after an update that are fixed by restarting windows a few times, seems to finish off the update.
