If a person had five minutes a day to catch up on politics, I would probably recommend Politico over any other source. I read it through the 2008 election and found it relatively neutral. I followed politics less closely this cycle, but popped in on politico once a day to check out the horserace.

I have a Politico (with just a little hint of Quartermaster thrown in for business acumen), and if the fighting has broken out, then I have failed my job! Pressing the flesh, kissing babies, making friends and influencing enemies, talking down hostage situations and otherwise keeping the Gunslinger bored through lack of fighting.
Politico lays out the talking points of the parties, but also tends to examine the true meaning and motive behind them from somewhat of an insider perspective. As others have pointed out, sometimes certain articles are written by political staffers, but I think this is a different bias than if one simply followed pundits like Limbaugh or Maddow.
Fuck the SS and Nazi Germany, but the USSR was the aggressor nation against Poland, Finland, the Baltic States, and Iran. You absolutely could have fought against the USSR and not been a Nazi. You could have even been the "good guy" while fighting against the USSR. The USSR was far from a paragon of virtue in the 2nd World War.
