I have 2021 Model Y LR that I purchased last December. It now has about 14,000 miles on it. The published range for this car is 326 miles. I noticed recently that when I charge the battery to 100%, the range is shown as 305 miles (94% of the advertised range). Mar 28, 2024. #5. LFP batteries are less energy dense than other lithium ion chemistries. At this point that generally rules them out for the "long range" models in Tesla's range. There's no indication that is going to change any time soon. At this moment your requirements are fundamentally incompatible with each other.

This remains constant for the life of the car. Projected Range / Estimated Range * Avg Wh/Mi = Rated Wh/Mi. For my 2021 Model Y with 52,000 miles, and 78% SOC, the number is 187/223*285 = 238.99 Wh/mi. Now with less than three digits of precision in the source numbers, we should round this to 239 or 240.

Sep 19, 2024. #15. From what I've read around here, 29" is the maximum tire diameter that will fit a Model Y. There's room for more at the rear, but up front it will rub if you go much past that. 255/50R19 gets you to 29", as you probably know. Such a change will affect the speedometer, and watt-hours per mile, etc.
Nov 14, 2020. #11. In summary, the Tesla 12V battery costs $85, is available from the Tesla Service Center. If you want the battery installed by a Mobile Service Technician the installed price is approximately $127. The Ohmmu 12V replacement battery, a lithium battery, costs $450 from Ohmmu. P.
Optimal: 50% charge, never driven, left plugged in. Any variance from that decreases longevity, roughly logarithmically based upon how much the charge deviates from 50%.. Heat is a factor too. Fast charging increases heat. Racing increases heat. The desert sun increases heat. totally understood.
Purchased new tires for Model Y with 19" wheels two weeks ago. Goodyear has introduced a brand new tire for EV's-"Electric Drive" , meets spec's of Original Tesla OE tires. Replaced Continental OE tires that was worn out at about 20K. Tire rides better. improved traction, quieter and 45,000 mi wear warranty.
