I did not mean to create a controversy regarding the older and newer battery pack being used in the Model Y. The OP is about the $1,000 price increase. Some of the enhanced features of the 2021 Model Y must have added to the cost of manufacturing. The laminated front glass and the heated steering wheel are two prime examples.

If you qualify for the federal tax rebate, a new Model Y can cost you less than $37K. This is comparable to the price of many used Model Ys. Tesla is constantly improving their cars throughout the year so model year does not suffice to tell you the features.
Alset Auto (a Tesla only detail shop) publishes their prices online and will charge about $6k for full PPF for a Model Y, color add on (they have GSWF and FlexiShield) carry about a $600 premium. Two years ago I paid about $7500 for paint correction, full body PPF (clear), window tint, and ceramic coating.
