Coolant temperature sensor in radiator. Hey all, i’m trying to help my brother in law fix his 2012 Cruze. He’s getting the infamous “A/C disabled due to high engine temp” message. I replaced the temp sensor in the thermostat area and cleared the code...it worked for a couple of hours and then the code came back.
9- Turn the engine OFF and allow the engine to cool down. 10- Remove the surge tank cap. 11- Check the coolant level and fill to the COLD mark if necessary. 12- Inspect the concentration of the engine coolant, using GE-26568 tester. 13- Rinse away any excess coolant from the engine and engine compartment.
There seems to be some variation on part location between the 2011 and 2013 Cruze models, while I am right in the middle. The gold slip in style one is a radiator temperature sensor, or sometimes engine coolant temp #2, if your car has it it's on the passenger side end tank of the radiator.about halfway down.
2012 Cruze Eco Temp Sensor Issue. Hello all! I've been having a rather common issue with my 2012 Cruze Eco. The Symptoms WERE as follows: 1) Check engine light on. 2) Message reading A/C shut off due to high engine temperature. 3) No coolant temperature reading on dash needle or dash menu. 4) Radiator fan turning on as soon as the car starts.
Radiator coolant temp sensor. I’m rebuilding a 2016 Cruze with light front end damage. I replaced the radiator with an AC Delco radiator, which matched up perfectly. Reconnected all the pieces and I’m staring at a hole on the passenger side above the drain plug. Come to find out the coolant temp sensor goes there.
