Similarly, an Amazon.co.uk gift card is only redeemable on the Amazon.co.uk website. The same is true for Amazon.ca, Amazon.cn, Amazon.de and so forth. So you cannot use an Amazon.com gift card on one of their international websites. However, you can purchase an Amazon.com gift card with a non-U.S. credit card, and vice versa.
1 upvote. Vancouver, BC. I came across this thread and talked to Amazon.com's chat rep. What they did was temporarily convert my Amazon.ca account to an Amazon.com one. During this time I could use the $10 gift card balance towards something I wanted. Bare in mind I bought a $9.91 e book but still.

If you want the physical card, you'll have to use a mail forwarding service but you can purchase from Canada. If you're looking to convert BB GCs into Amazon GCs, sell your BB cards (typically 10% or so off face value) then use your cash to buy Amazon GCs - either at a discount similar to what you sold the BB cards for, or at face value. Mobile vouchers have never been able to be purchased at self-checkouts regardless of payment due to a glitch in the system. As for regular gift cards, it's been hard-coded into the self-checkout system in terms of being able to use gift cards to buy gift cards for over a year.
