My PC woke up from sleep on its own. When I signed in, there was a popup from McAfee. I discovered that it had just been installed at the precise time my PC was awakened. I uninstalled it but am having a lot of trouble getting rid of all the related files. I'm getting help for that on a separate post. But I am wondering how the heck this happened.
McAfee Security Scan Plus uninstaller opens to a blank screen that cannot be interacted with in any way. I have tried both add/remove features, control panel, mcafee's uninstall.exe, but they all lead to the same blank screen. How can I remove this program permanently from my computer? BradleyRogers805. Created on September 17, 2022. Cant uninstall McAffee Security scan plus from Windows 10. Inside the Uninstall App page, buttons greyed out. I needed to install Adobe Viewer fast. Afterwards find it installed McAffee. popups, new network detected? no, it hasnt changed for years.
