The WF logo seems off (a little faded), the return address and phone number don’t belong to WF, and the reference/membership numbers seem a bit much. Chase is less shady than Wells Fargo imo. If you want physical locations and ATMs go with wells, else go with chase. Chase 1000 times over. I have both and its not even close. It doesn't meaningfully matter. You'll find stories about both of them doing awful things. I would say check your area for a local Credit Union.

I got a letter in the mail today from Wells Faro staying during a recent review they discovered potential issues with my identity theft protection service and determined that I am entitled to a refund. A refund check is attached that includes fees , charges and interest as well as loss of compensation. It says the only action I need to take is to cash the check.
