After years of attempting to shepherd an occupancy tax ballot initiative through the North Carolina General Assembly, the Town of Indian Trail now has the opportunity to implement an occupancy tax for people using hotels, Airbnb, etc. Monies from the tax are used for tourism-related expenses.
