Ups can't find my package details. On the 7th, so over a week ago, I order an item from Amazon. It is supposed to be delivered by ups and was to arrive on the 13th. By the 11th/12th it said it had shipped but the 13th came and went, and it hadn't showed up. My Amazon order page says the package is running late and "should" be here by the 18th.
When tracking a package it used to be that you could view the detailed scans (which included the approximate container scans). Now it says On the Way. Clicking on view details doesn't give any useful information... Or does it? This trick works whether you have just a tracking number or click on the tracking logged in through UPS My Choice.
The tracking shows the centers it 'arrived' at based on the trailer being there. Even if the trailer was unloaded at some of the locations, the package might be in a smalls bag and never scanned individually. She was very clear that it was not still sitting on the truck. If it was "sitting on a truck" (package car) they could go get it.
I suggest making a claim and trying to speed up the support process by getting to a manager or supervisor. Go to your local ups to start the process. They will be able to track the package to the last point it was scanned. All packages are scanned in or out so they would be able to pin point the exact warehouse it should be in.
The 2 for UPS show no pickup, no transit, nothing, just like I created a label and UPS never picked up ... and I dropped them off personally ... so wtf. I ordered something off the JBL website a couple days ago and today it says shipped and gave me a tracking number. I went on UPS site and it says the tracking number isn't in their system.
Either way, (877) 289-6418 is the best number available to reach a real person. There is no way, at least here my part of the USA, to contact a local UPS office directly. I was told by 2 customer service reps on different calls that the local offices are set up only to make outgoing calls. There are no numbers available for us to call them ...
No Tracking update after 7 days. Hello, I dropped off a package at the UPS store one week ago and tracking still has not updated. It shows the last update as "On the Way" and that was from the date/time i dropped the package off. There has been no further update.
