Yes - you should be able to re-apply for the student discount at anytime since you haven't used it for 4 years. Hey Spotify, if you're going to switch a user from a student plan to the normal $10.99 plan due to student verification requirements, you should try to let the user know within the app. If I had known my Spotify would've been more expensive this month, I would've budgeted that and maybe not went negative in my bank account.

It's possible that you're unable to renew your student discount because you've leached the limit of 4 years in total of Spotify Premium Student. If you've used the discount for 4 years, you won't be able to re-activate it again.

If you'd like to buy an gift card for one year, it costs you $9.99 x 12. The receiver of the gift doesn't have any worries then, until it expires after one year.
A month ago my year of spotify student lapsed and I was charged full price. No problem, my mistake. Thus, I re-verified my student status (doing that SheerID stuff), and my account states this is now valid until 9/12/24. However, once again, I have been charged full premium price - why? Thanks in advance for any help with this ridiculous situation
I am paying for a Premium family subscription, I only use 3 of the 6 profiles. I use one and my 2 children use the other two. I have recently started school at a university. I want to utilize the Student account so I can have access to Hulu and Showtime. However, I still want to pay for an additional 2 profiles so my kids can still have Spotify.
Hey @Ampz , Thanks for reaching out 🙂. The average length of higher education lasts about 4 years in most countries, which is why Premium Student only lasts up to 4 years. Spotify understands that some students stay longer at a college/university, but unfortunately, no special exceptions can be made in such case.
