It's goood that Velasca has often sales. We could compare these derbies to meermin, those cost 160+20 euro. I personaly like the casual style of Velasca suede derby much more than meermin suede blucher. Price for ankle boot was 185/ 160 euro with discount and free shipping.

It also claims Velasca is preparing to launch other kinds of products besides shoes, i.e. presumably become a full-fledged clothing brand. You can also look into the new (launched in 2021) women section, which hilariously removes all the technical details about the leather and shoes (apparently reserved for us nerds) and is instead full of ...

Size. The brand recommend to choose the size you normally wear in other dress shoes, cos I don't have any I'm gone 1 size down from my snicker size, as they recommend. My foot is 26.5 cm and I wear 8.5 US in Adidas/Saucony with footbed in 27 cm. I took 40.5 Velasca size. The shoes is right on, exactly what I need, I measured footbed in 27.2 cm.

Padded tongue and heel cup. Insole of thick foam covered with leather gives ok cushioning. I am 42,5 (28 cm feet) in formal Velasca shoes, took 43 and sneakers are a bit big. Should may be take 42 instead. Laces are non-waxed and of poor quality, but it's nothing new as laces for formal Velasca shoes are crap as well.

Shoes are 100 % made in Italy, and we can expect some grade of craftmanship. Velasca uses original Vibram rubber soles (Eton/Morflex/Gumlite). Website is cool, on feet pics are beautiful. Velasca staff on Facebook is friendly and helpful , although sometimes you need to wait little bit to get the answer.

Does anyone have any pictures or information regarding the quality of wear and durability of the binder leather used by velasca? I've read that binder leather creases easily and once creased, looks horrible, so I'd love to see pictures of a pair of worn Velasca shoes- preferably the tassel loafers. Thanks in advance.
