    In case it's helpful you can also first start FreeCAD and then drag and drop the URL from the browser to the FreeCAD main window. This opens the download manager window where when it's fully downloaded you can press a button to load the file. Note: You must not drop the url inside the Python console windows because this causes another behaviour.
